Architectural Greenhouse Elegance for Victoria + Jon
Every season, we have a handful of weddings that stand out in our minds as highlights. It usually comes down to the perfect combination of designs that push and excite us, paired with a vendor team that effortlessly brings their own specialty to the table. Victoria and Jon’s wedding was one of those days.
We worked closely with Juliana from Everlasting Events to bring everything to life for J&V. Juliana is communicative, flexible, and able to connect every detail with ease. We love any opportunity to work with her and really valued her expertise & calm energy on this day.
Leah Warner captured the whole day in such a beautiful way. Leah is the epitome of editorial. Her images look straight out of Vogue, capturing the refined modernism but also the couple’s fun, party side. We're so grateful to have access to the gallery and to be able to share them here.
The Floral Vision
Victoria and Jon wanted bespoke, modern, unexpected florals that still felt timeless. Nothing trendy just for trend’s sake. Their vision included texture, modern elements, and design-forward moments that were architectural, airy, and minimalist. A green & white color palette, accented with black decor, helped create a timeless vibe while still allowing space for uniqueness.
Most of the flowers and foliage were harvested directly from our farm with the calla lilies sourced specifically for a dramatic suspended ceremony installation. We featured amaranth, grasses, seed pods, & basket flower for texture, calla lilies for structured silhouettes, dahlias, lisianthus, zinnia, & apples of Peru for volume and agrostemma & Queen Anne's lace for an airy element.
Venue Highlights
That vision found its home at Blockhouse & Pomarius Nursery in Northwest Portland. The ceremony was staged right inside the Pomarius greenhouse and later transitioned to create a cozy dining area for an intimate guest list. It’s a venue that feels both urban and lush, a little secret-garden meets city modernism, and we leaned hard into that contrast.
The Ceremony Design
Their floral story revolved around sculptural moments and intentional restraint. Instead of a typical arch or arbor, we created a layered, artful backdrop.
Over 100 calla lilies were suspended above the couple with lush, multidimensional ground pieces creating a backdrop that fit seamlessly among the greenhouse plants. The final result was organic, botanical, and full of movement.
Florals for the Couple
For the personal flowers, Victoria carried an architectural, restrained bouquet featuring calla lilies, grasses, and basket flower for texture & shape. We balanced the silhouette with a few drippy elements such as amaranth and vining foliage.
Jon wore a complementary floral pocket square that balanced form and movement with calla lilies, amaranth, and seed pods— sleek, modern, and just a little rebellious.
Dinner, Details, and Dessert
Long dining tables and a family-style catering service called for depth without crowding, so we used pin cups to build pockets of florals that felt light, sculptural, and linear.
Their sweetheart table was positioned under the suspended calla lilies and we added moss & pin cups on the table for an overgrown vibe. One of the ground pieces sat in front to tie it all together.
Victoria & Jon hired Megan, owner of Script on This, to create so many fun, custom details throughout their reception. Megan has such a creative eye and talent for building unique installations & signage. From a phone booth for guests to leave messages in to custom bandanas as party favors and mini street signs in lieu of table numbers - every detail was considered & tied into the couple's story.
For their welcome sign, we positioned a foliage-forward ground piece in between two plexi stands created by Megan.
For dessert, Dream Cakes worked their magic as usual on a funky, textural, two-tiered cake. Lisianthus were added to mimic the frosting texture and add playful dimension. Mini cakes that matched the wedding cake were available for guests - we loved this unique dessert option!
